Car registration and tinting brought over 50% of all fee revenues to the budget

In the first five months of 2025, the state budget received almost 3.9 billion soms under the “Fees” item. This is 2.6 times more than in the same period of 2024, when about 1.5 billion soms were collected. Such data are contained in the report of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The largest part of revenues is still provided by fees for registration of motor vehicles. In 2025, this figure amounted to 1.7 billion soms, which is more than twice the level of last year, when the amount was 798.6 million soms. The second largest source was the fee for permission to tint the front windows of cars. Since the beginning of the year, the budget was replenished by almost 348 million soms due to this - in 2024 the amount was much less and amounted to 142 million.

The revenues from the fee for state registration also increased - from 299.6 million to 359.7 million soms. Fees for weighing, measuring and passing of vehicles increased by 42%, reaching 104.2 million KGS. The fee for garbage collection in settlements also showed a slight but stable growth - it amounted to more than 68 million soms compared to 58 million soms a year earlier.

At the same time, there is a decrease in some items. Thus, the fee for licensing of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol and alcoholic beverages decreased almost three times - from 1.5 million to 550 thousand soms. The revenues from the fee for issuance of certificates of registration in the Unified State Register also fell.
