03/05/2026, 10:59The capital city of Kyrgyzstan is most dependent on imports from the Eurasian Economic Union countries. According to preliminary data for January–December 2025, Bishkek accounts for the bulk of imports from the Union countries.
The high concentration of imports in Bishkek is explained by the capital's role as the main trade, logistics, and distribution center, through which a significant part of foreign trade flows passes.

Thus, according to mutual trade data, the volume of imports of goods from the EAEU countries to Bishkek amounted to $3.6 billion, which is equivalent to 75.4% of Kyrgyzstan's total imports from the Union countries. At the same time, the capital's total trade turnover with the EAEU countries reached $4.22 billion.
Osh ranks second among cities in terms of import dependence. The volume of supplies from EAEU countries to the southern capital amounted to $160.3 million, or 3.4% of total imports from the Union.

Less significant import dependence is observed in the Naryn region, with a total of $480,300, or 0.01%, and the Batken region — $7.7 million, or 0.2%.According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan's total imports from EAEU countries in 2025 amounted to $4.77 billion. This is 25.2% more than a year earlier.
