The services market in Kyrgyzstan grew by 10.1%

In Kyrgyzstan, between January and April 2026, the volume of market services increased in almost all regions of the country. The exception was the Chui Region, where an overall decline was recorded. This is according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

Market services essentially comprise the entire paid service sector, i.e. trade, transport, communications, consumer and other services provided to the public and businesses.

Across the country as a whole, the volume of services amounted to 908.9 billion KGS. Of this, approximately 399.9 billion KGS were accounted for by services for the public. Compared to last year, the sector grew by 10.1%.

Bishkek continues to make the main contribution. The capital accounts for 657.3 billion KGS – over 70% of the total volume nationwide. Here, growth stood at 17.6%. Services for the population also increased – by 13.6%.

Growth was recorded in almost all regions. In the Jalal-Abad region – up 19.4%, in the Issyk-Kul region – 14.5%, in the Naryn region – 11.3%, in the Talas region – 12.6%, in the Batken region – 9.2%, and in the Osh region by 7.6%. In the city of Osh, the volume of services rose by 15.5%.

The only region to see a decline was the Chui region. Here, the total volume of services fell, although services for the population still showed a slight increase.
