09/09/2025, 13:37The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund has signed an agreement to finance a project for the complete modernisation of the Zhenish Central Park in the city of Jalal-Abad.
The project aims to create a modern urban environment and improve the quality of life for citizens, in line with the comprehensive regional development policy pursued by President Sadyr Zhaparov and the Cabinet of Ministers.
The initiative is of key social importance for the country's third largest city. Against the backdrop of Jalal-Abad's dynamic population growth, which has increased by more than 25% over the past 10 years, there is an urgent need for high-quality, safe and modern infrastructure for family recreation and leisure.
«This is the first project to be implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership and has already been approved by the Jalal-Abad City Council and the National Investment Agency. By implementing it, we are contributing to regional development, creating safe spaces and incentives for small and medium-sized businesses. The park will create 125 new jobs and install more than 30 different modern attractions and activity areas», — said Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of the RCF.
Funding in the amount of $3 million will be directed towards the complete transformation of the park: from landscaping and landscape design to the installation of modern and safe attractions, sports grounds, lighting and video surveillance systems.
The reconstruction of Zhenish Park will not only update the outdated infrastructure, but also create a new centre of attraction for residents and visitors to the city, increasing its tourist and investment appeal.
