A modern medical centre has opened in Bishkek with the support of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund

The official opening of the modern multidisciplinary medical and diagnostic centre Medartis took place in Bishkek. Its construction and equipment were financed by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. This was reported by the press service.

The centre is considered one of the most technologically advanced medical facilities in the country. Covering an area of 2,304 square metres, it has 72 inpatient beds, an operating theatre with two operating rooms, as well as an outpatient department and specialised units.

The medical facility provides a full range of medical services: diagnostics, inpatient and outpatient treatment, neurosurgery, abdominal and cardiovascular surgery, as well as cardiology services. The centre is equipped with modern equipment from leading global manufacturers, including an angiography system, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, computed tomography (CT) scanner, ultrasound and echocardiography machines, and an X-ray diagnostic complex with a C-arm system.

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund has invested more than 130 million KGS in the creation of this medical centre and its equipping with advanced equipment. Demonstrating its capabilities, the centre is able to perform the most complex operations in the fields of orthopaedics, neurosurgery and cardiology directly in Kyrgyzstan, eliminating the need for citizens to travel abroad," said Artem Novikov, head of the RCF.

The medical centre is focused on improving the quality and accessibility of medical care for both Bishkek residents and the entire republic. As part of its social policy, it provides rooms at nominal cost for low-income citizens, allowing them to receive treatment at the actual cost of medication.

The centre's work has already created 80 permanent jobs.
