11/26/2025, 17:24Russian President Vladimir Putin summed up the results of the expanded meeting with Sadyr Zhaparov, emphasizing that the talks took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere that fully reflected the nature of relations between the two countries.
According to the Russian leader, the parties discussed in detail the entire range of bilateral issues and regional issues, and the key outcome of the meeting was a joint statement on the transition of relations to a new level of deepened strategic partnership and alliance.
Putin emphasized the significant progress made in the financial sphere. According to him, Russia and Kyrgyzstan have virtually completed the transition to settlements in national currencies, with the share of the Russian ruble in commercial transactions reaching 97%.
“We have practically abandoned the use of foreign currencies in financial settlements and established stable channels for credit and banking cooperation,” he said.
The Russian president also reported that last year, trade between the countries exceeded $4 billion, and in 2025, growth will continue at a good pace — by approximately another 17%.
In addition, during the visit, intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements were signed aimed at expanding practical cooperation in areas ranging from economics and industry to migration.
Putin said that the talks were a step toward “an even more advanced level” of cooperation and confirmed the strategic nature of the partnership.
