The RWB plans to develop entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan

Wildberries & Russ Joint Company, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKFR) and Bakai Bank OJSC signed an agreement within the framework of the VII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum on supporting entrepreneurship in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The agreement aims to support small and medium-sized businesses, realise the country's export potential, develop women's entrepreneurship, and involve Kyrgyz entrepreneurs in cross-border e-commerce, including on the Wildberries marketplace. Wildberries & Russ Joint Company was a strategic partner of the forum, presenting its own stand at the venue.

Under the agreement,  Wildberries & Russ Joint Company plans to train entrepreneurs and support them in entering the Wildberries platform, as well as assist in promoting their products on the marketplace. The Kyrgyz Republic Fund for Rural Development will provide information and organisational support for the project and has expressed its readiness to provide entrepreneurs with preferential financing. Bakai Bank will offer project participants favourable lending terms.

The signed trilateral agreement will be the first step towards the launch of the Growth Platform project in Kyrgyzstan, a Russian project to support entrepreneurs that has gone international.

«We have been working in Kyrgyzstan since 2017 and are pleased to see the positive dynamics of our business development. We see how rapidly e-commerce is developing in the country and are ready to invest our resources in the development of innovation and infrastructure. We are currently focused on two interrelated tasks: actively involving Kyrgyz businesses in cross-border e-commerce and creating a modern logistics centre for e-commerce goods, which will be the largest in Kyrgyzstan. Together, these will drive the development of e-commerce in Kyrgyzstan», — said Rafael Abrahamyan, Director of the International Business Development Department at the Wildberries & Russ Joint Company.

The project involves training programmes for entrepreneurs, participation in relevant events, support for women's entrepreneurship and the development of e-commerce infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of e-commerce entrepreneurship.
