Sadyr Japarov has called on Georgia to join the country’s investment projects

Kyrgyzstan has invited Georgia to participate in investment projects. This was announced by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov following talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who is on an official visit to Bishkek.

According to the head of state, one of the key topics of the meeting was trade and economic cooperation. The parties noted the growth in mutual trade and expressed their readiness to increase trade turnover, expand contacts between entrepreneurs and implement joint investment projects.

Zaparov emphasised that Kyrgyzstan’s economy is demonstrating steady growth, and that the reforms being implemented are creating a favourable business environment. In this regard, he invited the Georgian side to participate in projects in the fields of transport, logistics, agriculture, construction, the digital economy and tourism.

The parties paid particular attention to the issue of connecting the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway with Georgia’s port infrastructure, identifying this as one of the priorities for bilateral cooperation.
