The services sector will account for more than 50 per cent of Kyrgyzstan’s GDP

The services sector will retain the largest share in Kyrgyzstan’s GDP over the next three years. According to the forecast, it will account for 50.9 per cent of the economy in 2027, 50.1 per cent in 2028 and 50.3 per cent in 2029. This is stated in the explanatory note to the draft Republican Budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2027.

The second significant component will be industry. Its share of GDP is forecast to be 16.3 per cent in 2027, 17.2 per cent in 2028 and 16.5 per cent in 2029.

Meanwhile, the share of construction will gradually increase. In 2027, it will account for 10.8 per cent of GDP, in 2028 – 11.4 per cent, and in 2029 – 11.9 per cent.

The share of agriculture, by contrast, will decline. In 2027, the sector is projected to account for 7 per cent of GDP, in 2028 – 6.5 per cent, and in 2029 – 6.2 per cent.

Excluding Kumtor, the share of manufacturing in the economy will also decline — from 12.3 per cent in 2027 to 11.1 per cent in 2029.

At the same time, it is the construction sector that is showing the highest growth rates among the main sectors of the economy: 19.7 per cent in 2027, 16.7 per cent in 2028 and 11.8 per cent in 2029.
