The KGS has strengthened against the dollar. National Bank of Kyrgyzstan exchange rates for 29 April

The National Bank has published the official exchange rates for 29 April. The focus is on the US dollar, which has fallen slightly once again.

The dollar stood at 87.4296 KGS, down by just 0.0013% compared to the previous day.

The euro also fell — by 0.40% to 102.3101 KGS. The Russian rouble, by contrast, strengthened by 0.52% to reach 1.1679 KGS.

The Kazakhstani tenge rose by 1.11% to 0.1914 KGS, whilst the Chinese yuan fell by 0.2% to 12.7902 KGS.

Kyrgyzstan to waive duties on LED modules until 2028 — but lamps could become up to 5% more expensive
EAEU member states, including Kyrgyzstan, will exempt imports of LED modules from duties until 2028 — whilst at the same time, an increase in duties on finished lamps is under discussion.
