The EEC introduced a €500,000 mandatory guarantee for e-commerce operators

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev attended the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council meeting in the videoconference format. Some 40 issues on the agenda were considered resulting in several significant decisions.

One of the key decisions was to introduce labelling of beer, beer-based drinks and biologically active food additives with the application of identification means. Council members also discussed reports on monitoring customs declaration of goods falling under risk profiles and goods with a high tax burden.

The EEC Council approved the procedure for identification of e-commerce goods, which will allow buyers to return goods to the operator's warehouse after purchase if provided by the trading platform. It also decided on a mandatory guarantee of at least €500,000 for legal entities applying for work in the customs sector as e-commerce operators.

Among other decisions - approval of the draft agreement on administrative cooperation in the field of property valuation, approval of the plan for the EAEU integrated information system development until 2025 and monitoring of the fulfilment of obligations by the member states in the energy sector.

The Council also discussed the draft concept of a common exchange market for EAEU goods and approved the agenda of the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held on October 1 in Yerevan.
