EAEU countries may sign Tourism Development Concept by end of year

The concept of tourism development within the Eurasian Economic Union may be signed by the heads of member states by the end of 2025. This was announced by Lusine Bagratuni, Deputy Director of the Department for Business Development of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the Kazakhstan Travel Forum Sayakhat – 2025 in Astana.

‘This is a strategic document that will define the key directions for the development of the industry and measures to stimulate domestic tourism in the Union,’ Lusine Bagratuni emphasised.

The EEC representative spoke about the implementation of joint initiatives with the Union countries in the field of tourism, the development of Eurasian tourist routes, and the creation of a thematic section on tourism on the EAEU information portal.

The forum participants agreed that the tourism sector of the Eurasian Economic Union countries has significant growth potential.

The Kazakhstan Travel Forum Sayakhat – 2025 was attended by major tour operators, representatives of government agencies, international tourism associations and leading industry experts.
