The construction of a bypass road around the city of Osh will start this year

Today, 22 January, at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Toraga Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, refuting the information of the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications informed that the construction of a bypass road around the city of Osh will begin this year.

‘The construction of the road, the length of which will be 34 kilometres, will be implemented within the framework of public-private partnership. All necessary equipment is involved, all appropriate measures are being taken. Since February all land works related to the construction will be carried out’, - said Toraga and appealed to the Deputy Mayor of Osh, who also participated in the meeting, with the need to provide accurate information on this issue.

We will add that today at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Bekzhan Rysmendeev, answering the questions of deputies, noted that at present there is only a concept of construction of a bypass road around the city of Osh, specific works on road construction were not included in the plan for this year.
