02/18/2025, 07:41Minister for Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakhyt Sultanov presented new mechanisms for assessing the impact of regulatory decisions in the Eurasian Economic Union. He said this during the Integration Forum of the Russian Business Week - 2025 “EAEU to 2030: goals, mechanisms, challenges of interaction between business and government”, which was held on February 17 at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) in Moscow.
According to the minister, the new tools include assessing the actual impact of the Commission's decisions, as well as analyzing the regulatory impact of draft international treaties. Sultanov emphasized that over the ten years of the Union's work, more than 60% of the proposals received from business were taken into account in the development of EEC regulations.
“We are constantly working to create comfortable conditions for entrepreneurs of the EAEU countries. The key task is to take into account the opinion of business in the formation of new norms and regulatory requirements,” the Minister noted.
In his speech, he touched upon the key problems of the business community and presented an analytical tool to assess the impact of economic integration on the business environment.
In addition, the Minister reported on new initiatives to liberalize trade in services, economic cooperation in tourism, introduction of a mechanism for traceability of goods from third countries and ensuring freedom of movement of labor resources within the Union.
Bakhyt Sultanov also added that as part of the optimization of interaction between business and government, the Advisory Council on the interaction between the EEC and the EAEU Business Council was reorganized.
“We have switched to communication in the format of a single window, which will allow us to promptly respond to the requests of the business community,” he explained.
The Minister proposed to hold the next meeting of the Advisory Council in May this year in a face-to-face format within the business program of the Eurasian Economic Forum.
