Customs revealed facts of falsification of the year of manufacture of cars

Employees of the Anti-Smuggling and Customs Violations Unit of the Severnaya Railway Transport Department discovered facts of falsifying data on the year of manufacture of cars in order to reduce customs payments.

During the inspection of a KIA K5 car, indicated as 2018 year of manufacture, which arrived to the address of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic B.S.N., a discrepancy in the declared year was revealed. According to the data of Internet resources and the official distributor ‘KIA Center Bishkek’, the car was manufactured on 16 August 2017. This confirms the fact of changing the information on the identification tag (sticker). As a result, the state suffered damage in the amount of 412 thousand 929 soms.

A similar violation was found during the inspection of another KIA K5 imported from the Republic of Korea in the name of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic J.R.A.. The year of manufacture of the car was changed from 2017 to 2018, which led to understatement of customs payments and damage to the state in the amount of 407 thousand 973 soms.
