Tashiev commented on his dismissal

Journalist Nurgazy Anarkulov published Kamchybek Tashiev's statement on social media, in which he commented on the events of 10 February.

According to the former chairman of the State Committee for National Security, he is in Germany undergoing medical examinations after surgery and arrived there with the president's permission. Tashiev claims that he learned of his dismissal the day before and called it a surprise.

‘We are obliged to comply with the president's decision. I have served the state, the people and the president honestly and am proud of it. The only thing that upsets me is that I was not allowed to say goodbye to the staff,’ the statement said.

He thanked the SCNS staff and stressed that for the sake of peace and stability in the country, ‘no one should resort to illegal actions.’

On 10 February, Sadyr Zhaparov dismissed Tashiev from his post as deputy prime minister and chairman of the State Committee for National Security. Zhumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed acting head of the committee. Three deputy chairmen of the State Committee for National Security were also dismissed.
