05/21/2025, 15:02Over the past five years, mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary has doubled. This was announced by President Sadyr Zhaparov at a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
The head of state thanked the Hungarian side for its decision to increase the authorised capital of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund to $50 million, noting that this would open up new opportunities for joint projects and initiatives.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasised the importance of Hungary's participation in the development of transport corridors between Europe and Central Asia, expressed interest in Hungary's experience in logistics and new technologies, and assured his readiness to provide full support to Hungarian investors. The meeting concluded with an agreement to further strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
