Transport control intensified: revenue totalled 18.8 million soms

In January 2025, the Land and Water Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications checked 47 thousand 645 passenger and lorry vehicles. As a result of the raids, 421 protocols were drawn up for violations of transport legislation, including non-compliance with the rules of passenger transport, requirements of international agreements and cases of overloading of vehicles.

Thanks to the conducted inspections, the state budget received 18 million 770 thousand 484 soms of fines. For comparison, for the same period of 2024 this amount was 5 million 605 thousand 470 soms.

The control was carried out at transport control points, final stops of buses and minibuses, as well as by mobile groups throughout the country.
