Turkey is interested in cooperating with Kyrgyzstan in agriculture

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan held a working meeting with a delegation of Turkish agricultural companies interested in implementing investment projects in Kyrgyzstan.

The meetings were organised with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Antalya.

During the negotiations, the Turkish side presented initiatives based on the results of previous studies and working visits to the Kyrgyz Republic. The companies expressed their intention to proceed with the practical implementation of investment projects in the country's agricultural sector.

The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including the creation of modern greenhouse complexes using soil and soilless technologies, the introduction of automated irrigation, heating, lighting and plant nutrition systems, as well as the organisation of production of internationally certified fruit, vegetable and berry seedlings.

Special attention was paid to the production of mineral and semi-organic fertilisers and the provision of advisory services to domestic farmers.

The meetings also addressed the legal and procedural aspects of implementing investment initiatives, including product licensing and certification, as well as possible formats for further cooperation in accordance with Kyrgyz legislation.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan confirmed its readiness to provide advisory assistance within its competence and to support investment projects.

The implementation of these initiatives will contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, the introduction of modern technologies and the strengthening of the country's international cooperation.
