Participants in the Social Contract programme opened 254 apiaries across the country

The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration reported that last year participants in the Social Contract programme opened 254 apiaries across the country.

Of these, 150 were in Jalal-Abad Oblast. Aksy, Toktogul and Bazar-Korgon districts were the leaders in beekeeping in the oblast.

Beekeeping has also started to develop in Osh oblast. A total of 73 apiaries were opened, of which 27 were in Chon-Alai district.

Compared to the social contract of 2022-2023, when 138 apiaries were opened, the increase in the attractiveness of beekeeping was 45 per cent.
