08/24/2025, 17:53In January–July 2025, crop yields in the country were lower than last year's figures. Experts attribute this to a lack of irrigation water and the earlier ripening of some crops — 2–3 weeks earlier than in 2024.
The early harvest meant that the volume of production in the previous period was lower than expected. As a result, gross output growth slowed to 2.3% in January–July compared with the same period last year, whereas in January–June 2025, growth was 3.8%.
The decline in crop yields and the slowdown in growth rates may affect plans for agricultural exports and domestic prices.
