Foreign earnings accounted for 23% of all labor income of the population — in fact, every fourth KGS was earned abroad.
The regional breakdown shows where dependence on migration income is particularly high.
The Batken region is the clear leader: 42.6% of labor income here comes from work abroad. In the Osh region, the figure is 37.7%, and in the Jalal-Abad region, it is 36.8%.
The share is significantly lower in the Issyk-Kul region (17.5%) and in the city of Osh (21.7%).
