Fewer hospitals but more polyclinics were built in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2024. What about schools and kindergartens?

Within nine months, 4.7 billion KGS were allocated for the school construction. This is 13.7% more than in the similar period of 2023. This information is contained in the National Statistics Committee's data.

38 new schools and 4 annexes were opened, where 10,265 children will have the opportunity to study. New schools have appeared in all the country's regions.

At the same time, the construction of hospitals, on the contrary, slowed down. Investments decreased by 43.3%, totalling 566.3 million KGS. Nevertheless, 6 new hospitals with 128 beds were opened.

However, investments in the construction of polyclinics increased significantly - 3.2 times, up to 708.1 million KGS. 25 new polyclinics and one annexe were put into operation, where 353 people will receive treatment per day. New polyclinics appeared in almost all regions except Naryn and Osh oblasts, as well as the cities of Bishkek and Osh.

Finally, 1.9 billion KGS was spent on the kindergartens' construction - 14.8% more than last year. Twenty-four new kindergartens and two annexes were opened to accommodate 1,875 children. New kindergartens appeared in all oblasts except Naryn and Chui.
