12/25/2025, 15:29The transport sector in Kyrgyzstan has achieved significant results, including in the development of civil aviation. This was announced by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
According to him, in 2025, the country's airports purchased three aircraft for 2 billion 385 million KGS using their own funds. The expansion of the aircraft fleet will continue next year.
“A Q400 aircraft is expected to arrive in 2026. In addition, there are plans to purchase two Airbus A321 medium-range aircraft,” said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He stressed that a large-scale modernization of airport infrastructure is being carried out in parallel. 8.4 billion KGS have been allocated for the renovation of domestic airports. Currently, 11 certified airports are operating steadily in the country.
Adylbek Kasymaliyev noted that the development of the aviation industry plays a key role in the transport connectivity of regions and the international integration of the country.
“Airports are Kyrgyzstan's window to the world,” he stressed.
The head of the cabinet also recalled that, in general, the transport sector is demonstrating dynamic development. In 2025, 1,500 kilometers of asphalt concrete pavement will be laid in the republic, which is twice as much as last year. In addition, major road projects have been completed, construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is continuing, and the Balykchy-Kochkor line has been extended to the city of Kochkor.
