05/20/2026, 14:34The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved a decision on a large-scale land rezoning project in the Bayetovsky Aiyl Aymak of the Ak-Talinsky District in the Naryn Region. This involves reclassifying pasture land as ‘land for settlements’ for the construction of private housing.
The total area of the plots is 214.25 hectares. These include dozens of pasture plots located in the southern and south-eastern parts of the village of Baetov, which were previously state-owned and used as agricultural land.
The land has now been officially reclassified for housing construction — as part of the expansion of the settlement and the development of the district’s infrastructure.
The decision was taken taking into account the conclusions of the district administration and the President’s representative in the Naryn region, as well as the provisions of land legislation.
Local authorities have been assigned a number of obligations: updating cadastral data, developing and approving urban planning documentation, providing engineering infrastructure and drainage systems, as well as monitoring the seismic and environmental safety of the territory.
A separate requirement stipulates that potential sites of historical and cultural heritage must be taken into account during construction works and that archaeologists must be consulted should such sites be discovered.
Local authorities are also obliged to ensure the protection of utility networks and compliance with the safety zones of roads and power lines.
The decision comes into force 10 days after its official publication.
