Unjustified inspections of retail outlets were conducted in the Aravan district

During an inspection conducted by the Aravan District Prosecutor's Office in the Osh Region, it was established that the head of the regional veterinary and phytosanitary service for the city of Osh and the Osh Region, S. E., and chief inspector M. K. conducted unjustified inspections of retail outlets and butcher shops in the Aravan District without authorisation.

They also demanded money from entrepreneurs under the pretext of «identified violations».

Based on these facts, the Aravan District Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (abuse of official position). Investigative actions are currently underway.
