In the Aravan district, meat prices remain below 700 KGS

Aravan, Osh region, 20 August 2025 — Meat prices in the Aravan district remain under control: beef (except boneless meat) is sold at 670 KGS per kilogram, and mutton — no more than 680 KGS.

Employees of the district agricultural development department and other government agencies are constantly monitoring prices to prevent unjustified increases in the cost of meat products.

Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, has instructed the Veterinary Service, the Department of Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed, and district agricultural development departments to strictly control prices in the regions. In the event of an unjustified price increase, timely measures should be taken.

It should be recalled that on 11 August, Kyrgyzstan introduced state control over meat prices for a period of 90 days. On the instructions of the minister, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce is monitoring retail prices to ensure that they do not exceed 700 KGS per kilogram.
