06/03/2026, 16:40The State Tax Service has uncovered evidence of the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco products in catering establishments in Bishkek. The total value of the seized goods exceeded 200,000 KGS.
The violations were discovered during a tax inspection raid at two cafés. Inspectors found tobacco products without excise stamps, as well as foreign-produced alcohol without excise stamps and with old-style excise stamps.
A total of 233 units of alcohol and tobacco products were seized from illegal circulation, along with 200 litres of alcohol-containing liquid of foreign origin. Among the items seized were 37 bottles of vodka and 100 packets of cigarettes without excise stamps.
Following the inspection, the relevant reports were drawn up. The materials have been forwarded to the law enforcement authorities for legal assessment and for measures to be taken in accordance with the law.
