In Bishkek, the issuance of permits for excavation work will be suspended for five months

From November 1, 2026, through April 1, 2027, the issuance of permits for excavation work on municipal asphalt-paved roads in Bishkek will be suspended. The restriction is being introduced to prevent damage to roads during the fall and winter months.

Order No. 365-t was signed on October 22. Due to low temperatures, precipitation, and frozen ground, it becomes more difficult to properly repair the asphalt after excavation work, which can lead to cracks, potholes, and subsidence.

The restriction does not apply to work carried out by municipal enterprises and their contractors, nor to emergency repairs of utility networks and social infrastructure facilities.

However, work authorized by previously issued work orders must be completed by the established deadlines, including the restoration of the road surface.
