Plans are afoot in Bishkek to renovate three city fountains at a cost of nearly 164 million KGS

A tender has been announced in Bishkek for the renovation of three city fountains. The total contract value is 163.9 million KGS.

The largest contract is for the renovation of the fountain near the History Museum. 130.9 million KGS are earmarked for this work. A further 18.7 million KGS are to be allocated for the renovation of the ‘Aska-Tash’ fountain, whilst the renovation of the fountain in Karagachev Grove is estimated at 14.2 million KGS.

Under the terms of the procurement, all renovation works must be completed by 1 August 2026. The sites are located in Bishkek, and the completion dates will be determined in consultation with the client in accordance with the work schedule.

Thus, the authorities intend to allocate significant funds to the renewal of the city’s infrastructure and the improvement of public spaces in the capital.
