01/13/2026, 08:59The Bishkek City Hall, in collaboration with the Research Institute for Prospective Urban Development, has prepared a draft Master Plan for the development of the capital until 2050. The document defines the key directions for the territorial, infrastructural and environmental development of the city, taking into account demographic forecasts.
Public hearings on the draft Master Plan were held in Bishkek on 24–25 December 2025. The discussion was attended by city officials, the document's developers, representatives of city and specialised services, as well as residents of the capital and media representatives.
During the hearings, proposals and comments were made regarding construction, transport infrastructure, engineering networks and environmental protection. All comments received from citizens were considered in accordance with the established procedure.
Based on the analysis of the proposals, changes were made to the project documentation. The updated version of the Bishkek Master Plan until 2050, as well as a list of comments and proposals received from residents of the capital between 25 October and 25 December 2025, have been published and are publicly available.
