Construction of three residential blocks in Bishkek has been suspended due to breaches

The Bishkek City Office of the State Department for Architectural and Construction Control is carrying out spot checks aimed at strengthening oversight of compliance with established requirements.

During these inspections, checks were carried out on the areas adjacent to the 9-storey residential block at 1/1 Valikhanov Street, Bishkek, as well as to the 9-storey residential blocks located at 121 Michurina Street, and 22 and 24 Zelenaya and Zagorskaya Streets. It was established that the landscaping work on the surrounding areas had not been carried out properly.

In particular, the requirements regarding the organisation of internal access roads within the construction site and the surrounding area, the construction of pavements, parking spaces and outdoor lighting, as well as the planting of greenery and comprehensive landscaping of the area, had not been fully met.

Following the results of the inspection, binding orders were issued to the construction companies ‘Division Stroy’ LLP, ‘Ak Building’ LLP and ‘Art Vin’ LLP. Construction and installation works at the sites have been suspended until the identified breaches have been fully rectified.

The State Department for Architectural and Construction Control reminds all parties that construction and installation works are not permitted if they do not comply with the requirements of KR KN 12-02:2018 ‘Organisation of Construction Works’.
