11/27/2025, 16:51Today, a meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held in Bishkek, chaired by President Sadyr Zhaparov.
Opening the event, Sadyr Zhaparov noted the successful conduct of joint exercises in 2025 — “Rubezh,” “Unbreakable Brotherhood” and “Echelon,” and emphasized the importance of joint measures against modern threats, including cybersecurity.
Following the meeting, the chairmanship of the CSTO officially passed from Kyrgyzstan to Russia. Vladimir Putin outlined the priorities for the coming year: strengthening collective security, preparing a new counterterrorism strategy, and developing interparliamentary cooperation. The next meeting of the Council will take place on November 11, 2026, in Russia.
