The markets will be held in two districts of the capital to make produce more affordable and reduce the number of middlemen.
In the Pervomaisky District, the market will open on November 7–8 at Turdakun Usubaliev Square. Going forward, the market will be held every Saturday and Sunday through June 2027.
In the Leninsky District, the market will open on November 6 at the intersection of Mingzhilikiev and Tynaliev Streets in the Djal neighborhood. Here, products will be sold every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The markets will feature meat and dairy products, vegetables, fruits, and other everyday goods.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the markets will allow farmers to sell their products directly to consumers, reduce intermediary costs, and support domestic producers.
