A factory for the production of explosives has opened in the Chui region

Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev visited the Uchkun VM plant in the Kemin district of the Chui region. The plant produces explosives for the mining industry.

Bakyt Torobaev noted that the opening of the plant is a strategic step for the development of domestic industry. The explosives will be used not only in mines and the mining industry, but also in the construction of roads, irrigation systems, and hydraulic structures, including BDR and BSR.

The construction of the plant, equipped with modern technologies from foreign partners, cost 700 million KGS. With the planned production volume, the budget will receive about 95 million KGS in taxes annually, and the full capacity of the enterprise will create more than 100 jobs.

The Uchkun VM plant became one of 134 industrial facilities opened this year, and its official opening took place as part of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.
