01/26/2025, 12:28In December 2024, compared to November, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in general increased by 1.5%. The highest price increases were recorded for draught milk (+9.1%), salted herring (+5.3%) and rice (+2.1%). Vegetable oils (+1.9%), instant coffee (+0.8%), chicken meat (+0.7%), beef (+0.6%), eggs (+0.6%) and first-grade wheat flour (+0.4%) also rose in price.
At the same time, prices for several products decreased. Fresh and chilled fish fell in price by 2.9%, granulated sugar and mutton fat - by 2.9% and 1.9%, respectively. Also, horsemeat fell in price by 1%, beef liver by 0.9%, bread by 0.7%, green tea by 0.6% and cereals by 0.5%.
Prices of fresh vegetables increased by 9%, potatoes rose by 13.9% and fresh fruit by 0.2%.
Compared to December 2023, food and non-alcoholic beverage prices increased by 5.4% in December 2024. This was due to an increase in the prices of potatoes (+40.2%), fresh meat (+12.8%) and soft drinks (+6%). The prices of instant coffee (+7.9%), sausages (+7.1%) and other products also went up.
Since the beginning of 2024, there has been a decrease in prices for buckwheat groats (-18.3%), fresh fruit (-14.8%) and granulated sugar (-4.2%).
In December 2024, changes in prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products were also recorded. Compared to the previous month, prices for alcoholic beverages increased by 0.7%. In January-December 2024 compared to December 2023, the price of alcoholic beverages increased by 11.7% and tobacco products by 10.8%.
