This is because the water supply in the Tugol-Sai River is limited. Due to the large amount of irrigated land, there was not enough water during the growing season.
Therefore, the construction of the BSR is aimed at collecting water from autumn to spring, as well as during periods of abundance, for subsequent use during the irrigation season.
To date, two water measuring stations and 61 water distribution structures have been installed, and LR-60 and LR-40 trays have been laid on internal canals with a length of 3.17 kilometres.
As a result of the construction, the water supply to 3,208 hectares of irrigated land will be improved, an additional 1,602 hectares of new land will be developed, crop yields in the region will double, and the lives of the residents of the Jumgal district will become significantly easier, which will lead to an increase in agricultural production.
