Anti-Corruption Meeting Held at Kyrgyzstan's National Security Committee

On 24 January, the SCNS held an explanatory and preventive work for employees of the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan. This event was held on the instructions of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Chairman of the SCNS, Colonel General Kamchybek Tashiev and in the context of the amendments to the legislative acts on combating corruption.

The meeting was attended by the leadership of the SCNS, heads of departments and divisions. Participants were explained the latest changes in legislation, as well as measures to eradicate corrupt practices in state structures and prevent other offences.

An important point was the reminder of personal responsibility for corruption and other official offences among civil servants. Representatives of the SCNS presented a report on detected and suppressed corruption schemes in the tax system, emphasising good faith service for the good of the country. They also mentioned the draft law developed by the State Committee for National Security in pursuance of the anti-corruption policy of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, which provides for amendments to a number of legislative acts to strengthen the fight against corruption.
