The state budget has allocated 33 million KGS for the work. The station, built in 1968, has not been repaired since Kyrgyzstan gained independence. The reconstruction is scheduled to be completed by August 31, 2025.
Today, Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, familiarized himself with the progress of the repairs. After completion of the work, it is planned to strengthen the material and technical base of the institution and equip it with new agricultural machinery.
A service center for farmers will be created on the station's territory, where specialists from the ministry will work. The station, which is part of a research institute, will also become a base for scientific work.
The institution is currently cooperating with Chinese entrepreneurs to introduce drip irrigation and new cotton varieties. These technologies help save water, increase yields, and are being disseminated among farmers in the region.
