The absolute leader in the number of transactions were money transfers in Russian rubles - 2.82 million incoming transactions, which is 78.5% more than in the same quarter of 2023. At the same time, the volume grew by 66.1%, amounting to 60.97 billion rubles. This makes the ruble the most widely used currency for cross-border transfers to Kyrgyzstan.
However, the largest relative growth in the volume of outbound transfers was recorded in euro - an increase of 33.3%, despite the fact that the number of transactions in this currency remains modest (only 500 outbound transfers per 400 thousand euros).
The US dollar traditionally remains one of the key currencies in terms of volume. During the quarter, $107.7 mln flowed into Kyrgyzstan, although this is 13% less than a year ago. Outgoing transfers in dollars amounted to $106.5 mln, which is 12.7% more in monetary terms with a slight decrease in the number of transactions (by 2.1%).
Kazakh tenge, on the contrary, shows a decrease. Only 600 transfers for KZT99.4 mln were sent during the quarter. This demonstrates a decline in all indicators by more than 40%. Incoming transfers in tenge were not made at all.
