An attempt was made to illegally import goods worth 1.4 million KGS into Kyrgyzstan

The Tax Service has thwarted an attempt to illegally import consumer goods worth over 1.4 million KGS. The goods were being transported without the necessary documentation.

During a series of raids, officials from the State Tax Service uncovered the illegal import of goods into Kyrgyzstan.

Whilst inspecting a lorry that had arrived from EAEU member states and was carrying household goods, inspectors discovered consumer goods without the necessary shipping documents.

According to preliminary estimates, the value of the undeclared goods exceeds 1.4 million KGS.

Measures are currently being taken to ensure the payment of taxes due to the state budget.
