In Kyrgyzstan, the Antimonopoly Service has reduced the projected increase in prices for public services by more than 45 per cent

Between 2023 and 2025, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service approved 120 public services comprising 6,369 items. Initially, the requested increase in the cost of certain services was 50 per cent or more.

According to the agency, during the tariff approval process, overheads were reviewed and costs not related to the provision of services were excluded. As a result, in some cases, the proposed prices were adjusted by more than 45 per cent.

Furthermore, a presidential decree dated 10 July 2026 introduced a temporary moratorium on increases to tariffs, charges and the cost of services and works.
