More families in Kyrgyzstan will be eligible to receive the “uy-bulogo komok” allowance

Kyrgyzstan has expanded the eligibility criteria for the “uy-bulogo komok” allowance. Families with a per-capita income of up to 1,500 KGS are now eligible for this benefit.

Previously, this threshold was 1,000 KGS. This means that more families will be able to receive assistance from the government.

However, there is a restriction: if a family owns two or more residential properties, they are not eligible for the benefit.

The new rules will take effect on September 1, 2026.

Meanwhile, there has been a decline in the number of benefit recipients. According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, 83,824 families received assistance in 2023, while in 2024, the number dropped to 66,265.
