Kyrgyzstan proposes moratorium on commercial fishing in state-owned water bodies

A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on the introduction of a moratorium on commercial fishing in the Toktogul, Bazar-Korgon, Kirov, Kurpsai, Shamaldysai, Tash-Kumyr, Uch-Korgon reservoirs.

The aim and objective of the draft resolution is to improve coordination between state environmental protection, law enforcement and scientific bodies in the field of conservation and increase fish stocks in state-owned fishing waters. It also aims to improve coordination between local state administration and local self-government bodies, republican and regional bodies.
