05/15/2026, 17:57The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers has approved a programme to support Kyrgyz citizens returning from abroad. It will run from 2026 to 2030.
The authorities plan to help migrants adapt more quickly after returning home. To this end, the programme provides assistance with job searches, training in new professions, business support and the recognition of skills acquired abroad.
The programme also includes psychological and social support for migrants and their families. The country intends to open special support centres and develop online services providing information on jobs and employment opportunities.
As noted by the Cabinet of Ministers, the programme was launched against a backdrop of changes to migration rules in other countries, economic instability and a rise in the number of citizens returning to Kyrgyzstan.
The programme is expected to help boost employment and support the development of small businesses in the country.
