07/14/2025, 14:10The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has uncovered a scheme for illegally issuing medical diplomas to foreign citizens.
As part of the criminal case, several representatives of the teaching staff of the private university “International Medical University” have been detained.
According to the investigation, university employees colluded with foreign citizens and, in exchange for monetary compensation, forged educational documents, including transcripts and grade sheets, while the students were not in Kyrgyzstan and did not actually attend classes. As a result, they were illegally issued higher medical education diplomas.
According to the State Committee for National Security, such actions seriously damage the international reputation of the country's education system. Investigative measures are being taken to identify all those involved in the illegal scheme.
