Disability certificates in Kyrgyzstan have been digitised

In Kyrgyzstan, the process of undergoing medical and social assessments has been fully digitised, and disability certificates have been converted to electronic format. Instead of six types of certificate, only two are now used, both integrated with the ‘Tündük’ system.

This was announced at a press conference by Nazgul Cholumova, Head of the Department at the Ministry of Labour. According to her, the digitalisation is aimed at increasing the transparency of services, reducing the influence of human error and preventing corruption risks.

To undergo an assessment, a citizen must contact a healthcare organisation. If there are grounds for establishing disability, the organisation sends an electronic report using form 088/u, along with medical documents, to the Medical and Social Expertise Commission (MSEC).

If the referral lacks sufficient information regarding the examinations carried out, the commission returns it to the healthcare organisation within five working days. Furthermore, citizens with anatomical defects are offered the option of undergoing the assessment remotely.
