Residents of Ak-Bosogo backed the road-building project, which had been held up by a dispute over a plot of land

Residents of the Ak-Bosogo housing estate in Bishkek have backed the resumption of road construction, which had been suspended due to a dispute over a plot of land. Mayor Aibek Junushaliev has instructed officials to verify the land documents and provide a legal assessment of the situation.

During a meeting with residents, it emerged that one resident was laying claim to the plot, although the relevant documents required clarification. Following the discussion, it was decided to resume construction in accordance with the law.

Separately, the mayor instructed officials to look into the preservation of the mosque located on the plot. There are plans to transfer it to the jurisdiction of the Muftiate.
