10/20/2025, 09:46Kyrgyzstan has seen a decline in unemployment. According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the end of August, 44,200 people were registered with the country's employment services, accounting for 1.5% of the workforce.
A year ago, this figure was higher — 57,000 people or 2.1%. Thus, over the year, the number of officially registered unemployed fell by 22.5% or 12,800 people.
Overall, the registered unemployment rate in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was 0.8%. This is 3.7% lower than in August 2024.
The lowest unemployment rate remains in Belarus — 0.1%, and the highest, excluding information on Kazakhstan, is in Armenia, where 2.7% of the economically active population is unemployed.
We would like to add that in two months, from June to August, 1,300 Kyrgyz citizens were removed from the unemployment register.
