02/03/2026, 13:03On 30 January 2026, at a meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, decisions were made aimed at supporting the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The documents provide for tariff concessions in the form of exemption from import customs duties on a number of socially and economically significant goods intended for domestic consumption and industrial processing.
The concessions apply to beef, sugar and cocoa products. For cattle meat, the exemption is valid until 31 December 2026, with a volume of no more than 5,000 tonnes. The exemption from duties is granted only upon presentation of supporting documents from the authorised body of the member state and is intended exclusively for processing by meat processing enterprises.
For raw cane sugar, the exemption is also valid until the end of 2026, with a supply volume limited to 20,000 tonnes. The use of raw materials is permitted only for industrial processing in Kyrgyzstan, and white sugar produced from exempt raw materials may not be exported to other EAEU countries.
Cocoa butter is eligible for tariff exemption until 30 April each year, with a volume of 300 tonnes.
The measures taken are aimed at ensuring a stable supply to the domestic market, supporting processing enterprises and developing the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic.
